Quiet. Hide and secret away
Both your feelings and dreams-
Let them in the depths of your soul
Wax and wane
Silent, like the stars in the night,--
Delight in them-and remain quiet.

How can the heart express itself?
How can another understand you?
Will he understand how you live?
The uttered thought becomes a lie.
In stirring up you will sully the springs
Nourish yourself on them and keep quiet.

Just learn to live inside yourself-
There’s a whole world within your soul
Of secret magical thoughts,
