Leadership Skills Students have numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills, either as a leader or as a member of one of the 130 student run organizations. The African American Alliance, founded in 1982, has made a meaningful contribution to the life of the College by sponsoring numerous activities and events. The successful annual Greek Step Show competition, a campus-wide event now in its sixth year is a fine example of student leadership in action. As members of student organizations, individuals learn about the challenges and rewards of developing effective organizational and leadership skills. In many ways, providing leadership to one's peers can be a challenging enterprise. Each organization sanctioned by the College receives adequate funds from the Office of Student Activities to carryout organizational goals and objectives. |
