Advising

     Student concerns are very important, and no issue is too trivial. A student may need to talk about courses or issues related to matters outside the classroom.  In addition to advice from the Office of Minority Student Affairs, the Dean of Students assigns an advisor to each freshman and sophomore for academic guidance in general and about course selection. For those students who may desire more in-depth advising, advice is available from the Counseling Service including study skills assistance. Students are encouragement also to take advantage of the opportunity to meet with their professors during posted office hours.
