Sewanee
Medieval Colloquium Prize
The Sewanee
Medieval Colloquium Prize was instituted in 1996 to recognize work of
exceptional quality by young medievalists.
It is awarded annually for the best paper presented by a graduate
student or recent PhD recipient (doctorate awarded since June 2009). The prize,
worth $250, will be judged by the Colloquium Committee and presented at the
final plenary session of the Colloquium. Candidates for the prize should follow
the normal procedure of submitting abstracts and completed papers by the
announced deadlines. The completed paper should be accompanied by a letter
stating that the author wishes it to be considered for the prize.
