Petrogenesis of  the Elberton Granite and associated pegmatites, Elberton, GA.

Petrography, alteration, mineralization, geochronology, and petrogenesis of the Sierra Gorda Cu-(Mo,Au) porphyry/breccia deposit, Antofagasta Province, Region II (Antofagasta Region), Chile.  2006 to present.

Trace element geochemistry of the Bon Air Coal, Franklin County, Tennessee, including trace element chemistry of Cumberland Plateau surface waters proximal and distal to the coal.   (1998-2006). One paper presented. One article published.

Palynology, petrology, and paleoecology of the Bon Air coal., Franklin County, Tennessee (1998-2006). One paper presented. One paper published.

Genesis and structural dismemberment of the porphyry copper and copper-gold deposits of the Robinson District, Ely Area, White Pine County, Nevada: (Sabbatical research, 1994). Two papers presented, three papers published.
