Snowden Alumni
What are they doing?
Snowden Alumni are everywhere. From oil rigs to conservation trust offices, from timber services to environmental education. Skills learned at Sewanee are being applied world-wide. Here is how some recent graduates have fared:
- Mirth Stevenson - former Forestry major, currently with GreenBlue
- Knox Frank - former Natural Resource major, now a Forester, Gunnison National Forest, Colorado
- Jessi Ouzts - former Forestry major, now working in the New Mexico Forest and Watershed Health Office
- Lucas Ridley - former Forestry major, now hang glider extraordinaire and short film maker
- Kathleen Presley - former Natural Resource major, now leaving for Peace Corps, Honduras
- Will Parcell - former geology major, now geology professor and Environmental program coordinator, Wichita State University, Kansas
- B.T. Thomas - former geology major, now an environmental consultant with CH2M Hill in Atlanta
- Carter Thurman - former Natural Resources major, finishing a M.S. in hydrogeology at the Colorado School of Mines and heading for law school
- P. J. Deschenes - former Forestry/Math double major, currently with Renewable Energy Group, GE
