The Jackson Project

Lake Jackson was created by damming a small valley with an earthen dam made of materials removed from the nearby area. Unfortunately, this resulted in a sterile, vegetationless area without topsoil. The Office of Domain Management has worked at improving this area with applications of mulch, grass seed, runoff protection, and tree plantings.
