John-Charles Bradbury joined the Sewanee faculty in Advent 2001. Dr. Bradbury’s main research concentrates on the effects of legislative organization on fiscal policy. His research has been published in Journal of Public Economics, Southern Economic Journal, and Public Choice. Additionally, Dr. Bradbury is known for his work on ATM surcharges. His research in this area has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Journal of Commerce, Investors Business Daily, and USA Today. He has also appeared on several radio talk shows to discuss his research. Dr. Bradbury’s most recent research focuses on microeconomic behavior within the game of baseball. Some of his work in this area has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Fortune, The Sporting News, and CBS Marketwatch. His book on economics in baseball will be published by Dutton in early 2007.
