Educator, Environmental Ministry Leader and Management Consultant  

Joyce Wilding has been a management consultant liaison to Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Green Energy Marketing Team, Cumberland River Compact, Coalition of Environmental Responsible Economies (CERES) and Southface Energy Institute (a non-profit organization, dedicated to the advocacy of energy efficient and sustainable design).  She has extensive experience in the behavioral sciences and more than twenty-five years of professional development experience, specializing in conflict resolution, culture diversity training and team building. Joyce designed and facilitated a five-year Leadership Communication Training program at IBMÕs Watson Research Division.

 

Her Wilding Associates Inc (WAI) consulting firm was incorporated in New Rochelle, NY in 1981.  For fifteen years, as President of this firm she was responsible for training and consulting services, product development, acquiring and administering all WAI contracts in the United States and Canada. She organized a new company, Leadership Communication Training, LCT, in 1996 when she moved to TN.  Her companies provided management consulting, organizational development and executive coaching to private and public businesses.   Key services included:

á       Customizing and delivering professional development programs

á       Assessing benefits of executive coaching and 360 reviews

á       Train-the-trainer programs and subject matter consulting  

á       Coaching business leaders to effectively raise issues and create new company visions


Since 2000 JoyceÕs environmental educational programs and spiritual retreat work for the Episcopal Church have grown more important than her corporate consulting. During 2001, she began to travel to the twenty dioceses of Province IV to assess the ongoing Environmental Ministry: Care for Creation
programs and to determine how programs could be expanded and initiated. By the end of 2004, she had visited and/or worked with leaders from every diocese in this province. She encourages diocesan Environmental Coordinators to collaborate with other groups including Christian Education, Spiritual Formation, Outreach leaders, ECW, ENEJ, EPPN, ERD, Science, Technology and Faith leaders of the Episcopal Church.

 

Joyce has made keynote presentations for organizations including International Personnel Management Association, National Management Association and Federal Managers Association and was a featured guest on ESPNÕs NationÕs Business Today and NYCÕs Country Radio Show, On the Job.  Her DISC Behavioral Communication Profile System was featured in several national journals and magazines. 

 

Joyce has developed workshops and many educational resources including a Province IV Environment Ministry CD-ROM Starter Kit.   She has made presentations and led workshops for several regional and national Episcopal groups.  Joyce wrote the Sewanee Science & Religion Templeton Metanexus LSI grant application that was approved in 2004.
