The Society of Sewanee Scholars held its annual dinner celebrating outstanding teaching at the College. Six teachers were honored for significant contributions to the learning experiences of the Society members who nominated them: Eugenii Donev (Physics), Mindy Farris (Biology), Matthew Irvin (Medieval Studies), Nicole Noffsinger-Frazier (Psychology), John Reishman (English), and Katherine Theyson (Economics).
William H. Rogers Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of SunTrust Banks, Inc., an Atlanta-based bank holding company with assets of over $175 billion, will be the Babson Center for Global Commerce’s Easter Semester Bryan Viewpoints Speaker. Rogers' lecture, titled “Purpose-Driven Leadership: Banking’s Role in Building Financial Well-Being,” is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, in Gailor Auditorium.
