Independence Day - July 4, 2007

Sesquicentennial activities included a service at Church of the Good Shepherd on Lookout Mountain, a sesquicentennial parade, and celebration of both University founders and the families of the original community supporters.

Sesqui-Sunday, September 9

Tour Sewanee as seen from the perspective of people a century ago. Tours begin at 400 University Avenue, in what is known affectionately as the Blue House. Reception follows in a local historic home.

Five-Day Celebration of the Founding, October 5-9

Culminating in the Founders' Day Convocation, the Founders' Celebration will include activities throughout the weekend.

Family Weekend - October 13-14

DuBose Lectures - October 18-19

Don Armentrout will discuss Sewanee's place in church history as a special Sesquicentennial duBose Lecture.

Sesqui-Sunday, October 28

Sewanee professors and staff will lead guided tours of the Sewanee cemetery and historic homes on the Domain. Learn about Sewanee ghosts and legends. Tours begin at 400 University Avenue, in what is known affectionately as the Blue House.

Homecoming Weekend - November 2-4

Returning alumni will enjoy a full slate of homecoming events with the seasoning of history, including a special Sesquicentennial Dance.

Easter Convocation - January 22, 2008

Sesqui-Sunday, February 3, 2008

Sesqui Sunday- Learn about the early School of Theology and trace the historic move to the new campus for the seminary. Tours begin at 400 University Avenue, in what is known affectionately as the Blue House. Reception follows in an historic home.
