7:30 p.m.: "Proof", Proctor Hill Theatre, Tennessee Williams Center
Theatre Sewanee presents the winner of the 2001 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for Best Play.

Saturday, Oct. 6


9 a.m (all day).: Horse show, Equestrian Center
The Sewanee Equestrian team hosts and competes in the intercollegiate Sewanee Equestrian Invitational.

11 a.m.: Field hockey game, Trezevant Field

Sewanee takes on fellow SCAC member Rhodes College.

1:30 p.m: Football game, McGee Field

The Sewanee Tigers take on the Austin College Kangaroos in an SCAC conference matchup.

Sunday, Oct. 7

9 a.m (all day).: Horse show, Equestrian Center
The Sewanee Equestrian team hosts and competes in the intercollegiate Sewanee Equestrian Invitational.

11 a.m.: Sunday service, All Saints' Chapel
This Eucharist service will include the dedication of a plaque commemorating the service of 12th Vice Chancellor J. Jefferson Bennett and a plaque commemorating those who gave the original tracts of land that made the University Domain possible.

Noon: Field hockey game, Trezevant Field
Sewanee takes on fellow SCAC member Hendrix College.

12:45 to 1:30 p.m.: Sewanee Quarter Peal, Breslin Tower
A quarter peal will be rung on the Bentley Bells in Breslin Tower at the conclusion of the 11 a.m. service at All Saints' Chapel. The peal will be conducted by Scott Stricker of Little Rock, Ark. (Trinity Episcopal Cathedral). He will be assisted by Philip Buck, C'99, Sara Miller, C'05, and five other ringers from St. James Church (Marietta, Ga.) and St. Luke's Church (Atlanta, GA).

2:30 p.m.: Sesqui-Sunday Walks
You'll have three options for exploring what Sewanee was like a century ago. Choose from an historical campus tour led by Jerry Smith down University Ave. or one led by Meg Binnicker down Tennessee  Avenue, the original route of University Ave. A member of the Sewanee Herbarium will lead a hike in Shakerag Hollow to point out  original homesites  and the natural succession of the forest there. To join any of the three, meet at the blue Heritage House on University Ave, next to Hunter Dormitory.

Tuesday, Oct. 9

12:30 p.m.: Founders' Day Convocation, All Saints' Chapel
Newsweek Editor Jon Meacham, C'91, will be the featured speaker at this special Sesquicentennial convocation. The ceremony will also include the conferring of honorary degrees and the debut of a Sesquicentennial Te Deum composed by Richard Shephard. Overflow seating and remote viewing will be available in Guerry Auditorium.

8 p.m. to 11 p.m.: Bishops' Ball, Fowler Center
Join alumni, faculty, staff, students, regents and trustees for this gala event. Black tie optional.

Wednesday, Oct. 10

12:30 p.m. Stained glass window dedication, Convocation Hall
To mark the Sesquicentennial, Sewanee's newest stained glass window, created by Brenda Belfield, continues the history of the University told through the windows of All Saints' Chapel. The new window depicts the last 50 years of University history and will be installed in Convocation Hall.
